BIENNALE DES ANTIQUAIRES, Paris Sept 2012

Lula wears DIOR Haute Couture dress, PRADA sunglasses, JUDITH LEIBER tiger purse, VANCLEEF&ARPELS jewels

In the midst of Fashion Month Frenziness, armed in VanCleef&Arpels, I escaped to Paris to attend the very gorgeous Biennale Des Antiquaries. The invite, designed by Karl Lagerfeld, promised a dreamlike view across the best of High Jewellery; the Grand Palais provided the location and the sun offered a good light shining through to pick your favourite precious purchase.
Here’s few notes I took down on my Black Moleskine.

The entrance at the Grand Palais.

VAN CLEEF&ARPELS recreated a mini Place Vendome!
Inside oniric creation wer lid in the dark. The theme? Luck. Definitely a fortune.
The brilliant Wallace Chang.A cross between jewels and sculpture.Totally mind-blowing.

Camel “chapel et Chamelieurs” at CHRISTIAN DEYDIER,Egyptian love at PHOENIX ANCIENT ART, African Art at CLAES, necklace by BULGARI.

Breathtaking necklace at CARTIER, Ivy and cascade at BOUCHERON.

A glimpse at the world of DIOR JOAILLERIE: macro red roses, mini Dior-world where jewels are kings and queens.

KEES VAN DONGEN and iconic diamond comet at CHANEL, Red Lucio Fontana and the most wonderful Leopard I’ve ever met

“L” for lunch, for Ledoyen and, easy one, for Lula. I felt very welcome.
